Gluten-Free Options: Yes Halal/Kosher: No Vegan Option: Yes- but limited Vegetarian Options: Yes (vegetarian paella available) Nut Free Options: Yes Dairy Alternatives: No First Impression: A romantic atmosphere with the dime lights and warm tones. Order: Albondigas (Spanish beef meatballs),Ensalada de Aguacate (avocado salad) , Paella de Marisco and mango cheese cake. Favourite/s: Paella de marisco was delicious. It was filled with plenty of seafood and flavour. We were shocked at the portion aswell as other Spanish restaurants in the city offer much smaller portions. Critiques: Overall no complaints but we did think the Albondigas could use some more flavor. Bonus: The service is very professional and fast. Also, they have really good prices and portions compared to similar restaurants in the city.. we were shocked at our final bill as we expected a much higher price! Take Away: We really enjoyed our visit and recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Spanish food in the area. Follow on tiktok: @eatwithbuns
It was great! The Sangria was a real drink, not filled with juice. Their butter was soft, spreadable and creamy with garlic and sea salt flavour. The octopus was subtle in flavour. The two mains were fresh, tasty and full of flavour. Seating was comfy, you were not squished together. It was a great experience and I will be going back.
Small, intimate local gem with lovely paella/mussels/sangria! The chef came round twice asking how we felt about the food which was a nice (and rare) touch. Generous portions on the paella (which is good as it's delicious). Book a table well in advance though, it's a popular spot!
Absolutely the best Spanish restaurant in Ontario. Friendly staff and delicate service. The chef comes out and greets every guest. This is very unusual these days in Toronto. It just adds extra detail that the chef really do care about and appreciates his guests. The food was exceptional. Nothing unconventional, sticking to the authenticity. It’s very hard to find a restaurant who has strong fundamentals and does a good job executing traditional dishes. Definitely recommended and this place will be one of my go-to places.
We had a dinner for 4 on a Wednesday evening at this Spanish Cuisine restaurant. Small, nicely decorated place with great Sangria. A variety of Paellas were available one being a seafood selection which we ordered. Paellas take 40 mins to prep so order that first then tapas. Tapas are amazing and flavourful here. We had a variety and even ordered some twice as we couldn’t get enough. Portions are not bad, service was unhurried, attentive and skillful.. we noticed they prepared beverages as well and performed table side service, serving the first helping of Paella when it was ready. During our meal, we had the pleasure of speaking to the Chef/Owner who came by our table and after we asked, he happily shared how he prepped the food we were enjoying. Friendly and hospitable true and true! Definitely returning to this great restaurant.
Wonderful restaurant that hits all the marks in food, service, and atmosphere. Service - The staff at the restaurant were all exceptional from the moment we arrived. The waiter was patient, friendly, and attentive. The chef popped out quickly and greeted us. Food - Everything was cooked and seasoned well. I would highly recommend the poached octopus dish and paella. Atmosphere - Cozy. Along the walls are decorated by nice paintings and the small layout adds to the ambience.
Nice atmosphere. Arroz Negro was good. The free fresh bread was served with Aioli. Nice staff and chef would interact with the guests. My kid loved the sorbet.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I’d do that! What an absolutely lovely cozy restaurant, with delightful food and warm welcoming service. The chef came by to our table more than once to ensure we were enjoying our evening and offered us desserts and coffee on the house! Recommend 100%!
